I was embarrased when a friend of mine in Limerick asked had I seen the report about Cavan's tourism atributes in the Indo ?? Of course I hadn't because I have been busy lately and any other excuse that I could think of to hide the fact that I seldom buy the Indo anyway.
So for all of you busy people out there, here is the report:

Thanks V for bringing this to our attention. It is nice to get some good positive coverage in the National Press and congratulations to all involved...:)

I second that, very well done to everyone mentioned in the report. It is great to see that at last the 'Recession' is being turned into an 'Impression' of what we have always known about Co. Cavan. But as the report says has "gone so under-reported."
The Indo report in itself is probably some of the best reporting we have seen in a long time. :D

I do agree with you that we sometimes miss on a lot of things happening around due to our busy schedule. Thanks for the link to the report. I would like to check it out. :)

It is nice to see such positive coverage for County Cavan in various national media of late. There is certainly a drive for home holidays and I do think that the real benefits will be reaped for the more inland counties in the autumn and winter months when the Irish coast is not as attractive.
Well done to all those in cavan who are involved with the counties promotion. It can only have a knock on benefit for Monaghan, although I am a little dissappointed that we have not seem the same level of promotion or perhaps its PR.
On the nationwide clip, I have heard Annmarie from www.cuilcaghtours.com speak once at a local training event and she is a very impressive lady and has quickly become a good example of the welcome and professionalism that can be found offering tourism services in South Ulster :)
